It was just a reliable pick for a quick layover in Edinburgh with excellent value for money. The water pressure in the shower was pretty decent , made getting ready easier. Bring your own snacks, as there's no microwave to heat up any leftovers.

a family room with a great view to the park, had requested this in advance. a safe, a cable tv with on-demand movies, and tea and coffee making equipment were a bonus.

Truly enjoyed Edinburgh, the hotel was incredibly beautiful and quiet little to the centre of Edinburgh. The staff were really kind and polite, fantastic services. The room was very pretty and exceptional, had essentials, like a bathtub and a shower. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and lovely at a much cheaper rate and great value...
Didn't like the area, it was quite poor.

It has a fantastic bar and courteous staff. The location is easy, near to public transport. Need to add that there's plenty of restaurants to choose from, like Desi Pakwan, located within 5 minutes walk or so.

Proximity to Leith Links park, Free on-street parking, Individual decor in rooms
The shower water pressure needs serious improvement!!! Cleaning requires attention, from dusty corners to broken fixtures, it's evident that maintenance is lacking!!! Update your dated room decor. It's not a good look!!! Poor TV connectivity options could use a fix too!!!

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast choice was excellent. Room quiet and clean.
The bathroom needed attention. The plug did not work properly in the sink preventing water from draining. Bulbs needed replacing making the bathroom extremely dark.

We booked the Sandaig Guest House as we were going to a party in the area and needed a place to stay overnight! We were very pleasantly surprised from the moment we opened the front door as it was beautifully decorated, very, very clean and we were greeted by Laura who was extremely friendly! Our ensuite room was at the top of the house and was beautifully equipped and very warm and comfortable, with a small table and chairs set out with tea/coffee and biscuits, in a bay window which overlooked the adjoining Leith Links! We hadn't booked the breakfast but on Sunday morning decided to have it and weren't disappointed, good choice and very good value! We will definately return to the Sandaig!!

The hotel was just brilliant, offering way more than we'd expected for its price tag. Quiet location, but having buses every 15 minutes on the street.

The staff at Sandaig is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are cosy and very clean. Breakfast is also very good. The bus stop is a few metres from the hotel and it will take you about 10 minutes to get to the centre. All in all a very good experience and would recomend this hotel to anyone.
Nothing really, had a great experience and will definitely go there again!

The Sandaig has a cozy modern interior that feels like home. The room was super clean, and the bed was super comfy, perfect after a long day. I loved the location near Leith Links park and the accessibility to bus links for getting around. Plus, free on-street parking was a nice bonus.
The water pressure in the shower could use improvement.

My ground floor room was lovely & newly decorated. The bathroom was the best in the UK (it was spacious, with high quality fittings including a separate shower box, plus a shower over the bath - i.e. 2 choices to use). The excellent value for money meant my daughter and I afforded 2 separate (double) rooms. The free wi-fi was convenient. I very much liked the modern decor and standard of accommodation with attention to detail. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Overall a great place to stay. I also liked the outlook over the leafy park and trees.
The location could have been a little inconvenient as I didn't realise Leith was beyond waking distance to the central city. But the great value compensated for the location, and the taxi was cheap to get to town.
